Canada’s Opposition leaders react to Trudeau’s press conference on SNC-Lavalin
The leaders of Canada’s two main opposition parties, Conservative leader Andrew Scheer and the NDP’s Jagmeet Singh, spoke out in response to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s address on the SNC-Lavalin controversy.
Scheer called the address “fake and phony” and once more called for Trudeau to resign, while Singh said the prime minister should have taken the time to apologize and take responsibility over his handling of the controversy.
